Sarasota Impact Windows Pros protects homes in Sarasota and Manatee counties against wind and flying debris. We measure, price and install impact windows, impact sliding glass doors and impact entry doors, and we supply and fit hurricane shutters in their main forms: storm panels, accordion, roll-down, Bahama and colonial styles. Our work is the openings in your home. Roofs, garage door replacement, structural wall repairs and flood-proofing are outside what we do, and we will tell you plainly when a job belongs to a different trade.

How a project runs

Walk the house. We look at every window and door, note which ones face the Gulf or open water, check the condition of the framing around each opening and ask how you use the space.
Match products to openings. Each opening gets a product with a current Florida Product Approval and a design pressure suited to its size and location on the house.
Put it in writing. The quote lists every opening with its size, product, glass, frame color and price, plus permit and disposal lines.
Pull the permit. The application goes to the building department that covers your address, whether that is Sarasota County, a city such as Sarasota, Venice or North Port, or a town on the keys.
Install and inspect. Old units come out, openings are checked and prepared, new units go in to the manufacturer's instructions, and the inspector signs off.
Leave you the paperwork. You get the product approval sheets and permit record, which a wind mitigation inspector will want to see.

What we will not do

We will not sell a product that lacks approval for its use, skip the permit to save time, or tell you a single upgraded opening earns an insurance discount when it will not. If your house is better served by shutters than by new windows, or by a mix of both, the quote will say so.
